We are pleased to confirm that from Monday 1st June 2020, we will be resuming all boiler and cooker servicing activity, including annual service visits.

All non-emergency appointments had been temporarily halted since the end of March, as per government guidance and in line with COVID-19 lockdown procedures.

However, this temporary suspension has now been lifted and engineer appointments will be able to resume from Monday 1st June, but with some important changes to help ensure the safety of engineers and customers.

Our additional safe working practices during Covid-19
We will add additional communication measures in to help assess any perceived risk, as well as confirming our social distancing and hygiene measures. All service visits are by appointment, at pre-arranged dates and times. At the time of booking, we will ask you if you or anyone on the premises is currently self-isolating. Our engineer will also ask you this question on the day of your service either when calling to confirm their arrival time and/or on their arrival.

Engineers have been provided with additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including antibacterial gels and wipes, and will wear face masks and gloves throughout their visit. Engineers will also decline any refreshments offered, and will not request customers to sign PDAs, tablets or paper on completion of the works.

How you can help
In line with the guidance issued by the Government, and by the OFTEC, we ask customers to kindly help us ensure the safety of all parties by:

- Keeping surfaces and rooms where engineers are working clean and ventilated

- Not entering the room while work is being carried out unless absolutely necessary

- Keeping us informed of any change in circumstances that may affect our ability to safely conduct a service on your boiler/cooker

Our scheduling team will now be working through all outstanding and overdue service visits in the coming weeks – while still supporting for any emergency breakdowns – and will be in touch directly with all customers to confirm new appointments.
