Watson Fuels last week gave Cullompton Rugby Club U16s the opportunity to train with Exeter Chiefs’ stars Don Armand and Kai Horstmann.
The training session took place on Tuesday 26th April, under the floodlit astro-turf next to the Chiefs’ Sandy Park stadium. The evening formed part of Watson Fuels sponsorship of the AVIVA Premiership club.
The session followed Cullompton U16s usual practice, with Armand and Horstmann interjecting throughout to offer the youngsters tips and advice on how to improve their personal and collective game. Armand and Horstmann were also on hand to answer any questions that the Cullompton players had following the training session.
“The chance to work with Don and Kai was absolutely priceless for the lads. Their knowledge is obviously second to none, so for our boys to have the opportunity to learn from players we watch on the television week in week out was immense, and we thank Watson Fuels for giving us the opportunity to participate. The boys absolutely loved it and they learned a lot,” said Keith Kennaugh, Cullompton RFC U16s coach.
Andrew Watson, Marketing Manager at Watson Fuels added, “We love being able to give a local club such as Cullompton the opportunity to train with professionals such as Kai and Don. It’s not something a young rugby player gets to experience every day so we’re delighted Watson Fuels is able to offer this from time to time.”
Watson Fuels’ partnership with the Exeter Chiefs, the West Country’s premier rugby club grants them a range of image rights and promotional opportunities, as well as the chance to offer tickets and additional giveaways to their customers throughout the season. The Watson Fuels logo also appears on the Chiefs' home, away and European playing shirts as they serve as the club’s Official Fuel Supplier.
