Our four-step process
We've developed a carbon reduction plan
By measuring our carbon footprint globally, we have taken the steps to set and achieve realistic carbon reduction goals, per global best practices.
We've reduced our energy use
By improving fuel economy and reducing the overall age profile of our truck fleet through newer, more fuel-efficient vehicles. We’re optimizing our delivery routes through automation tools to help serve more customers per mile travelled. This helps reduce the fuel we’re using to power our fleet. We’ve also transitioned our data centres into the cloud, to reduce the need for energy-intensive, in-house servers.
We've sourced renewable energy
We’re sourcing 100% renewable power for our buildings, in line with our global strategy.
We've offset unavoidable carbon emissions
We purchase carbon offsets to compensate for our carbon footprint and the emissions related to our fleet of trucks, both for our Watson Fuels fleet in the UK and globally. We’ve been doing this since 2019 and will continue to do this each year.
