Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme

We are proud to announce that Watson Fuels have been approved as certified members of the Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme (RFAS).

The RFAS scheme enables businesses to have confidence in the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions as a result of their Renewable Diesel purchase, and the sustainability credentials of their fuel’s feedstocks.

By joining the RFAS, we are demonstrating our commitment to providing our customers with sustainably-sourced renewable liquid fuels with credible GHG emission savings. The RFAS certification process ensures that our Renewable Diesel meets strict criteria for greenhouse gas emissions, feedstock sustainability, and transparent supply chains.

The scheme is run by the Zemo Partnership, and is helping to drive the transition to a low-carbon economy by providing a trusted source of renewable fuels.

"We are proud to be a member of the Zemo Partnership, and an approved RFAS provider," said Matthew Whitton, VP of Supply EMEA at World Fuel Services. "Our status certification demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with a verified, sustainable source of Renewable Diesel, which can help make an immediate impact on our customers’ greenhouse gas emissions.”

The RFAS is a valuable tool for customers who are looking for assurance that the renewable fuels they are purchasing are meeting their sustainability goals. The scheme guarantees accurate and representative GHG emission data for company carbon reporting by providing renewable fuel supply chain specific data. This gives customers peace of mind that they are making a responsible choice resulting in GHG emission reductions.

As part of the scheme, Watson Fuels will distribute quarterly certification to our customers, to evidence the verifiable change individual businesses are making.

We are excited to be a part of the RFAS and look forward to continuing to provide our customers with high-quality, sustainable renewable fuels – an immediate action customers can take as part of a wider decarbonisation strategy.
